Dr. Venkatram Mysore

Dr. Venkataram is a senior dermatologist with vast clinical, teaching and research experience. He passed MBBS and MD from Govt. Medical College, Mysore. He obtained board certification in 1987 and received training in Dermatosurgery at Dr. Behl's Skin institute in New Delhi. In 1990, he went to the New Jersey University Medical School at Cambden, U.S.A for advanced, post-fellowship training. He underwent training in Hammersmith hospital, London and University of Wales medical college, Cardiff, UK and iIn 1995, he passed the Diplomat in Dermatopathology from the Royal College, (the first dermatologist from India to do so).

Cosmetic dermatology is an area of interest for Dr. Venkataram Mysore. He has attended many international workshops on the subject in different places such as Amsterdam, Munich, Trieste, Malta etc. His interest in hair transplantation lead him to a fellowship on the subject and further training in workshops in Chicago and Orlando. He performs follicular unit hair transplantation by a new "no touch technique" using microscopic dissection to obtain the best cosmetic results.

Dr. Venkataram has worked in senior positions in a number of academic institutions in India and abroad including Al-Nahdha Hospital, Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, Oman, and Salmaniya Medical Complex, Arabian Gulf university in Bahrain. He has over 75 publications to his name and has authored manuals on Leprosy and Sexually transmitted diseases. He is also the author of a textbook on dermatopathology. He has attended several international conferences as guest speaker. He is a member of several international associations including American academy, Royal college of UK and the International society for hair restoration.
